6 Fun and Easy Braid Tutorials!

When you are in a rush and can't figure out what to do with your hair a nice braid could be just what you need. There are so many different ways you can braid your hair. Once you get the hang of it, braiding your hair is really easy!

Here are 6 different ways to braid your hair. Video tutorials are linked with each braid!

1. French Braid

One of the most common braids is the French Braid. The key to achieving a French Braid is to start out with a small section of hair instead of separating all of your hair like a normal braid. Beautyblondie.com says, “The motions are the same (as a normal braid) except you are picking up and adding hair to the French braid as you go along.”

2. Fishtail Braid

The Fishtail Braid looks complicated to achieve but it is really easy once you get the hang of it! Start off by separating your hair into two even sections. Then take a small section from the left side and cross it over the right. Then do the same thing on the right side. Beautylish.com says, “Whether perfectly neat or purposely messy, the texture and seemingly complicated pattern of this sea-inspired style provide a refreshing visual twist on your typical 3-strand weave.”

3. Dutch Side Braid

A Dutch Braid is also called the reverse French braid. Wikihow.com says, “The Dutch braid is a hairstyle that looks difficult to create but is deceptively simple. It is basically an inverted French braid; you simply braid strands under rather than over each other.” This braid definitely looks different and can be perfect for those days where you want to switch it up.

6. Messy Rope Braid

This braid only uses two small sections of your hair so you could also style it with a bun or leave your hair down. It is really easy to achieve and will look on any hair length. Lovemaegan.com says, “These little rope braids are a fun way to add a little style with your own hair, creating a sort-of headband of sorts. Your hair doesn’t need to be extremely long, but you do need some length to cover the top of your head with.”
