The best part about summer is being able to finally go to the beach, relax, spend time with friends and family, and of course go in the water! The ocean water is great to cool off in after being in the sun all day but it also leaves you with natural, effortless, wavy hair! Not using hot tools is the best solution to fixing damaged hair and that is why the ocean water is great, it leaves you with a fresh wavy hairstyle without spending the time using a curling iron! If you know your time spent this summer is going to be in a office instead of at the beach then try this DIY beach spray that we learned about from Elle.com.

  4. Place the cap back on your spray bottle and shake up the ingredients for about a minute.
  5. While spraying the mixture into your hair start scrunching, this will help to form those loose waves.

Getting your hair colored professionally at a salon can definitely put a dent in your wallet, that's why Love Your Color by CoSaMo makes it easy to do yourself! Unlike other coloring kits, CoSaMo has provided a healthy and natural way to color your hair in the comfort of your own home. Usually, when you first purchase a coloring kit the directions state several steps that you must follow before starting the process. CoSaMo has made it even easier by providing only one bottle that requires no mixing and no mess! All you have to do to ensure that you are getting the best results is follow these 5 tips and your hair will look as if you just stepped out of the salon!

  1. Before coloring you want to make sure that your hair is in the best condition possible. Hair that is less damaged will keep the color looking vibrant and long lasting.1 If your hair is damaged avoid using any hot tools the week before coloring, this will give your hair the break it needs!
  2. Don't wash your hair the day before! A lot of people don't realize that washing your hair every day can be damaging.1 You want to have at least second day hair when coloring because it will help the dye stick better. If you don't feel comfortable not washing your hair try using dry shampoo, it prevents your hair from looking oily and greasy without actually washing it.
  3. After you've finished coloring don't wash your hair for at least 48 hours, this will give your hair the time it needs to fully absorb the color!1
  4. Start using sulfate free and color-treated hair shampoo and conditioner.1 Several stores carry products that are made for color treated hair such as the John Frieda brand, which comes in various shades. You don't have to stop at just shampoo and conditioner, also try using color treated hair products like the Elnett Satin Hairspray Extra Strong Hold with UV filter for Color-Treated Hair.
  5. When you're outside in the sun try wearing a hat, this will help to block your hair from the UV lights. If wearing a hat isn't really your style start using hair products that have SPF, this will protect your hair from being damaged by the sun and prevent the color from changing/fading!
