Day after day we complete the same routine and by the time all of our daily tasks are done, there’s no time left for pampering, especially by a salon or spa. If you don’t have enough time in your day to make a trip to the salon, you can try one of these five tips for making your hair look fresh in a few minutes or less.
  1. Try a dry shampoo - Hair’s natural oils can leave it looking and feeling greasy. However, if you’re in a rush, you may not have the time to wash, style and dry. If you’re in a time crunch, try using a dry shampoo to get rid of the grease quickly.

  2. Blow out - Blowing hair out can help your hair build body and show volume. If you have a little extra time, blow dry your hair using a heat spray in order to avoid hair damage. The volume that blow drying adds will help your hair stay lifted and styled throughout the day.

  3. Use baby powder - This is the quick fix for when you look in the mirror and notice your hair looking oily. Apply a small amount of baby powder to your roots and blend it in. This will help eliminate that greasy look instantly without washing.

  4. Switch up your part - Try parting your hair differently than you normally do. This will not only make you look like you got a new style, but it will trick your hair. Because the hair gets so used to being parted in the same direction, we usually just go along with how it naturally falls. Switching it up to the other side, or even down the middle, will keep your hair looking versatile. Plus, the middle part is this season’s hottest trend.

  5. Use a semi-permanent color - Love Your Color has no ammonia or peroxide, which will keep your hair healthy. If you see your roots coming through, you can easily touch them up with this easy to use product. This is extremely useful for the time in between your trips to the salon when your color starts to fade. If you don’t use permanent dyes, you can use Love Your Color whenever you want to change your color or refresh your roots. It’s simple, quick, and will leave your hair with the color you desire!

Frizzy hair is an annoyance to women everywhere. Hair becomes frizzy from a lack of moisture and oils, which are necessary hair health. When strands are dry, they become desperate for any moisture they can obtain. Because of this, the hair shaft tries to open up and find any ounce of moisture. This is why hair becomes extra frizzy in damp weather. Even though frizzy hair is frustrating, there are easy ways to prevent it, and it all starts in the shower.

When you wash your hair, use cold water! The cold water closes your hair cuticles and produces less frizz and more shine. Also, don’t wash your hair every time you shower because washing can strip the strands of essential oils. Both of these solutions are easy ways to help minimize frizz. If you've washed all of your natural oils away, try using Moroccan or Argan oil. After you shower, apply a small amount of the oil to your wet or damp hair before you blow dry and style. This will help to minimize your frizz, but be careful not to use too much! Too much oil will weigh your hair down and make it greasy.

For an easy at-home solution, apply an olive oil and egg mask. Combine 1/4 cup of olive oil and one raw egg and apply to your hair. Leave this in for thirty minutes and then rinse out with shampoo and conditioner in the shower. This treatment will help restore the vitamins that your hair has lost and will help make it stronger and shinier. If you’re experiencing frizz in the colder months, rub a dryer sheet against your hair.

Keep in mind, this only works to help tame your frizzy hair in the winter, but it is a quick and easy fix, even when you are on the go. With these simple solutions that you can execute in the comfort of your own home, you can prevent frizz in no time!
